East Side Eden is in it's fourth business year!  Eventually, we will have store items to purchase directly from this site.  In the mean time , you can stop by our shop, inquire by phone or just use the helpful gardening tip located throughout the site.

The last growing season was a little dry, but mercifully mild.  Many gardeners took advantage of the season and planed all new layouts and added trees and plants.  Book your garden plans now by giving us a call for a preliminary visit!

Before we opened this store, we used to buy plants from a grocery store or one of those really big "everything" home stores, only to be disappointed by a plant that died soon after we planted it, or didn't bloom very well.  We found out this was because the plants were "stressed" from the time they left the grower, until they reached your door.  Most grocery store and large retailers use chemicals to treat pests and common ailments.  They also usually don't get proper watering and are left out in harsh weather that leads to a weak plant that will not survive another transfer, the one from the pot it in to your garden.

We are a "green" gardener greenhouse, meaning we don't use chemicals in our gardening.  Beneficial insects and plants to help us to combat bugs and diseases that can infest plants.  If you see a few bugs on a plant, let us know.  It isn't as effective a way to keep the infestations away, but it is more beneficial to our environment.  We also care for older plants, re-potting and pruning as necessary to create a healthy and unique, happy plant.
